Solar Power Lease Program

McKenzie Electric has available to all qualifying member-consumers a solar lease program to provide electricity to pump water to area stockmen. By using the free energy produced by the sun versus the expensive cost of a power line, solar systems will help keep the high construction cost down for member-consumers.
Availability: Available to all member-consumers of the Cooperative. Subject to the rules and regulations of the Cooperative.
Solar Systems Available: Size: Cost per Month: 120 watts 2-panel system - $28.00 240 watts 4-panel system - $40.00 360 watts 6-panel system - $52.00
Conditions of Solar Power Lease Program: Unless purchased by the Member/Consumer, MEC retains ownership of all MEC installed equipment. Only properly sized Member/Consumer owned equipment shall be used with MEC solar equipment. The Member/Consumer shall purchase and own the water pump, piping, wiring and any other components and/or materials not provided with the MEC installed solar equipment. Solar systems are available in 2, 4 and 6 panel. Larger systems may be available and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. A seven year lease agreement is required. Lease payments may be applied to the total lease. The solar equipment may be purchased at the end of the lease for $1.00, provided Member/Consumer is current on all lease provisions.
